The community priorities have been the development of medical facilities, adequacy and quality of schools, for all levels both private and public, the support of religious institutions and the creation of good facilities for senior citizens. There is also continuous effort on reinforcing the Arts, as it has proven to be important in the quality of life and texture in the community.
The beauty of Teton Valley enhances creativity and the Arts.
Youth activities are also actively supported by the community, ranging from Scouts to Little League and sports ski teams. Non-profit organizations are widespread, and include:
• The Friends of the Teton River which is dedicated to maintaining water quality and enhancing the streams for fish stocking and rehabilitation.
• The Teton Regional Land Trust which aims at conserving and preserving the lands and wildlife in Teton Valley.
• The Teton Valley Community Recycling which was created to develop waste management programs for the environment and for the community itself.
• The Teton Valley Recreation Association which aims to strengthen the community and camaraderie through fun events.
• Valley Advocates for Responsible Development, a citizen group aimed towards sound growth and development for the community.
However, through all these, the secret and the beauty of the Teton Valley community lies in its residents. The community is relatively new, and its settlers at present may differ significantly from each other, but the entire community as a whole values respect, care and consideration for others above all else.
