Teton Valley's environment is very safe and conducive for learning. Students often take field trips to Yellowstone, and nature trips to other nearby attractions. A winter sports program for students is hosted by the Grand Targhee Resort in winter and in this 5-week program, the children are taught various winter activities such as skiing and ice skating.
